Henrik received his doctoral degree from ETH Zürich in 2021. As a member of the Exploration and Environmental Geophysics (EEG) group he was involved in the MATRIX (MAchine for Time Reversal and Immersive wave eXperimentation) project. His research focused on numerical and physical experimentation of elastic wave propagation, boundary conditions, wavefield separation and time-reversal. After his doctorate, Henrik spent two years as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring at ETH Zürich. As part of the “MetaVEH” project, he was involved in the development of an energy harvesting prototype utilising metasurfaces, wavefield focusing and active boundary control.

In April 2023 Henrik returned to the EEG group as senior assistant. His research is now focused on an “Innosuisse” project aiming to develop a novel, precise and quantitative method for non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring of laminated composite materials based on ultrasound computed tomography and full-waveform inversion.
