Imad Abdallah

Imad holds a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and computing technology from the University of Ottawa, Canada (2004). Thereafter he received a M.Sc. in Wind Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). From 2006 to 2012 Imad worked as an R&D engineer with Vestas Wind Systems A/S in Denmark. In 2015 Imad obtained a PhD from DTU where he used probabilistic methods and uncertainty quantification to assess the extreme design loads and optimize safety factors on modern wind turbines.

Imad joined the Chair of Structural Mechanics at ETH Zurich in June 1st 2016, and is part of the team working on the ERC Starting Grant award (ERC-2015-StG #679843) on "Smart Monitoring, Inspection and Life-Cycle Assessment of Wind Turbines".
