Yunus Emre Harmanci

As a PhD student at the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring, Yunus worked on the long-term performance of the so-called “Gradient Anchorage”, a pure epoxy based anchorage without any mechanical fixations, which is a SNF project that is carried out jointly between ETH Zurich and Empa. He obtained his B.Sc. degree from METU in Ankara, Turkey in 2010 and his M.Sc. degree from ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 2013. He has been conducting experimental and theoretical research in the field of structural strengthening of reinforced concrete with carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) since his M.Sc. studies. He also has worked one year as a research assistant under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Eleni Chatzi in the field of structural health monitoring (SHM).

His publications can be followed from his external pageResearch Gate account.
