Zhilu Lai

Bio

Zhilu obtained his PhD from Rice University where his key research aimed at integrating prior knowledge of dynamical systems with the architectures of machine learning models to learn physically interpretable models and governing equations from sensor data. He joined the Chair of Structural Mechanics and Monitoring at ETH Zurich as a Postdoctoral Researcher in August 2018 where his research focuses included physics-inform machine learning for dynamical systems; computer vision aided infrastructure monitoring and assessment. In September 2020, Zhilu joined the Singapore-ETH Centre as a Senior Assistant with the Dynamic Mobile Sensing Platform team.
