Qifan is a PhD student majoring in transportation engineering in Tongji University, China. He focuses on utilizing smart steel strands to construct a smart cross tensioned concrete pavement (SCTCP) at airport runway and develop a pavement damage diagnosis method. Qifan joins the Chair of Structural Mechanics & Monitoring in November 2023 for 12 months as an academic guest to work on damage detection in the context of structural health monitoring.
